Cookin for Our Kids
Congratulations!
In true "Central fashion," Cookin for Our Kids 2 was a great success. While the final figure is not available, we do know that we exceeded our goal and produced more than $250,000. for the schools in our city. Indeed, all of our planning, meeting and hard work paid off with big dividends for our children.
In an effort to perfect our fundraiser, we will have a post-event meeting to discuss anything that will cause next years " Cooking in Central " to be more successful. While we realize that everyone is playing catch-up on things neglected while we planned and held this year's event, the next meeting will not be until sometime in May. So, PLEASE make notes on any corrections or concerns on Cookin for Our Kids 2. These notes will be most valuable in planning the 2009 event.
We plan to recycle our signs next year. If you have or see any "Cookin for Our Kids " signs, please collect and bring them to City Hall.
Again, thanks for all of your hard work and I will send information on the next meeting as soon as the date has been decided.
