The Construction Board of Appeals will consider building code variances only for those projects that have been reviewed and disapproved by the Building Official or Floodplain Administrator. The application may be made when the enforcement thereof would do manifest injustice and would be contrary to the spirit and purpose of this and other technical codes adopted by the City.
Please print and fill out the document below and return it to the Municipal Services Office with the $45 application fee and any other necessary documents. The Board meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 2:00 p.m. at the Municipal Service Center, 6703 Sullivan Road, Central, LA 70739. The Owner, Architect/Engineer or Contractor must attend the meeting to present their case.

The Board of Adjustments hears request for waivers to the zoning ordinance of the City of Central as it applies to building restrictions and setbacks. The Board meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 5:00 pm at 14025 Greenwell Springs Rd.

Effective October 1, 2007, all rezoning requests in Central must be accompanied by a small site plan which must include such items as location and dimensions of all buildings and parking, as well as any proposed signs, green space and drainage facilities.
