Central City Council names local hero, Daniel Wesley, as 2016 Citizen of the Year, February 28 city

The Central city council officially recognized Daniel Wesley – a senior at CHS - as the 2016 Citizen of the Year for the City of Central in a resolution sponsored by all 5 council members. The Mayor presented Wesley with a plaque and congratulated him on his heroic deeds.

Wesley sustained two gunshot wounds and multiple broken bones after attempting to save a young woman after a trip to the Mall of Louisiana in early November. He returned home from the hospital in mid December.

The city council cancelled the February 28 meeting due to the Mardi Gras holiday.

The public hearing for PUD-1-16 The Lakes at Woodland Grove: PUD Preliminary Development Plan will be heard at the March 14, 2017 city council meeting.
