Flood-Relief Resources and FAQ: Sign up for important updates

If you have questions about how to sign up for information on the homeowner assistance program for help rebuilding your homes, please go to the Restore Louisiana Task Force website at http://restore.la.gov/
This website has updated flood recovery information and all of the documents related to recent Task Force meetings, including timelines for the federal process and links to the action plans the state has submitted to the federal government. This link also provides live streaming of the Restore Louisiana Task Force meetings. The next meeting is on March 17th at 9:30am at Lamar Dixon in Ascension Parish.
Q: How do I sign up for state flood-relief?
The application process for state-administered flood assistance is not open yet, due to federal requirements, but it will be soon. We’re waiting on federal officials to give final approval to Louisiana’s proposal for distributing federal relief funds. We anticipate the first round of assistance will be available possibly as soon as late March or April.
When the state does receive final approval, information on applying for assistance will be shared immediately on this website, with the news media and with our email subscribers.
That’s why it is critical to sign up for email updates.
In the meantime, please check our Recovery Resources http://restore.la.gov/resources/ for many helpful links, especially the Disaster Case Management Program. Offered through the Louisiana Department of Health, this is a free service that helps flood-impacted families find resources.
