City sending new scope of work for immediate action plan bidders

Mayor Shelton and the Central City Council will send a new scope of work to each of the six contractors bidding on the immediate action drainage project to provide greater clarification of work. New bids may also be taken.

After meeting with CSRS, GOHSEP, and the city attorney, the administration has discovered that FEMA will likely be able to reimburse some of the money spend on the immediate action drainage project. The city is currently pursuing more information on this matter as a reimbursement would be advantageous for Central. More information will be provided at a later time.

The city administration will examine all proposed bids in the appropriate, comparable format. The mayor hopes to decide on a contractor by week's end.
