Begin the Homeowner Assistance Survey and Application Process

May 17, 2017

THIS MESSAGE IS DISTRIBUTED AT THE REQUEST OF SENATOR MACK "BODI" WHITE to assist the citizens of Central to begin the Homeowner Assistance survey and application process for the $1.3 billion federal dollars that have been distributed to the State of Louisiana for the March and August floods of 2016.  Hopefully with enough participation and show of flood victims affected, our governor and congressman will be able to drawn down more federal dollars in future months or year to further assist as many victims as possible.  It is very important to fill out this survey and ask people that were flooded to fill it out, even if your home has been completed with repairs, please fill out the form as you may qualify for federal dollars.

IEM is the contract company that will be running the flood assistance program in the state of Louisiana.  IEM will have four employees on-site with laptops to assist you in inputting the information electronically.

They will be located in the big concession stand in the center of the Sports complex softball/baseball fields.  If this is successful we will try to have IEM employees come out every night next week so we can get "All" affected victims registered.  (see below for additional information and the attached flyer)

The Restore Louisiana Homeowner Assistance Program and would like help completing the initial survey – the first step in requesting assistance through the program – are invited to receive personalized assistance from program representatives this Wednesday and Thursday at the BREC Central Sportsplex (10501 Lovett Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70818). The program is available to provide eligible homeowners with assistance to rebuild their homes or reimburse homeowners for work already completed.

All flood-impacted homeowners are strongly encouraged to complete the survey, even if they do not believe they will qualify for assistance. Additional homeowners may qualify as more funding becomes available.
