City of Central hires new Public Relations Specialist

The City of Central is proud to announce it has hired a new full-time public relations specialist.

Matt Smith is a Baton Rouge native who joins the team at City Hall after four years working as a producer for WAFB-TV in Baton Rouge.

Smith graduated from LSU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications from the Manship School, prior to that he attended Catholic High School in Baton Rouge.

He replaces Elizabeth Breaux who handled public relations for Central for more than a year, she is leaving to pursue her Master’s Degree at LSU’s Manship School of Mass Communications. She was also awarded an assistantship with the school.
