Hurricane Ida Debris Pickup Update 10/19/21

Debris removal crews are approximately 80% complete with the first pass of woody waste debris pickup from Hurricane Ida. Crews will make another pass down each street once the first pass is completed to pick up debris placed by the street since the first pass. Mixed piles of debris (tree debris mixed with other material) will not be serviced. The debris must be separated. Tree material must be cut into sizes small enough for the contractor to pick up. Fence material and construction material will be picked up on the second pass. Any work performed by a contractor will not be picked up. It is the contractor's responsibility to haul away tree material or construction material. Nearly 40,000 cubic yards of debris has been picked up as of 10/19/21.
