Welcome to the City of Central, La., which was incorporated on April 23, 2005.
Central is located in East Baton Rouge Parish, east of the cities of Baker and Zachary.
The city is bordered by the Comite River to the west, the Amite River to the east, and Highway 64 to the north.
Central's boundaries encompass approximately 66 square miles.
The city's estimated population is near 27,000 citizens with approximately 18,000 registered voters.

Mayor's Annual Memorial Day Service.

The Mayor's Annual Memorial Day Service will be held on Thursday, May 24 at 7pm at Grace United Pentecostal Church, 12845 Hooper Rd, across from Central Middle School. All veterans and current service members are asked to attend along with the general public.
