East Baton Rouge Parish is under a Flood Watch beginning tonight through Thursday night.
There is a moderate risk of heavy rainfall for our area today and tonight.
4-6” of rainfall is forecasted for EBR with locally higher amounts possible
.
There is a slight risk of heavy rainfall for our area tomorrow and a slight risk of severe weather today and tomorrow.
Winds of 10-15 mph sustained and gusts of up to 20-40 mph or over 60 mph possible.
Worst timing for EBR to receive the heaviest rainfall is this evening through Wednesday morning.
Sand/Sandbag Locations:
As a precautionary measure ahead of today’s heavy rainfall, City-Parish officials, in coordination with BREC Parks and Recreation, have pre-positioned sand and sandbags at nine (9) locations across the parish. Locations are continuously being stocked throughout this event.

8. BREC Lovett Road Park – 13443 Lovett Road
9. BREC Memorial Stadium – 1702 Foss Street
