- The chance of tropical development for Invest 93L has decreased to alow (30%) chance.
- Confidence remains low that this system will develop into a tropical depression or stronger.
- This disturbance is currently located south of the Mississippi Coast this morning and is forecasted to continue moving west/west-northwest into the southeast Louisiana coast later today and move inland tonight.
- East Baton Rouge Parish is currently under a Flood Watch until 1:00 AM Saturday and a Flood Advisory until 8:00 AM this morning.
- Forecasted rainfall totals have decreased for EBR. Our Parish has already received approximately 1/2" of rainfall and an additional widespread 2-3" of rainfall is forecasted for our area today through Saturday.
- Worse case scenario 6-8" of rainfall could be possible through Saturday.
Sand and Sandbags
As a precautionary measure, City-Parish officials in coordination with BREC Parks and Recreation, have pre-positioned sand and sandbags at nine (9) locations across the parish.
*Residents should bring their own shovels to fill the sandbags.
