Please see the below weather update from the National Weather Service (NWS) New Orleans / Baton Rouge and State Climatologist Jay Grymes.
- The NWS states there is still some uncertainty in the forecast as we are a few days out.
- Probabilities of seeing some minor ice accumulation Saturday nighthave increased for East Baton Rouge Parish today.
- There is now a 20% to 30% chance of seeing at least 0.01" of ice accumulation in the Parish with the highest probabilities in the northern part of the Parish around Zachary.
- The ice accumulation probabilities decrease to 10% or less for ice accumulation of 0.10" or greater.
- The NWS will provide a more thorough update on Thursday and will continue to provide updates before the possible event takes place this weekend.
