When the Mayor took office, we realized that we had FEMA money from the 2016 flood that we were going to lose. We worked with our team and were able to apply the funds to a preventative maintenance truck for our roadside ditches. We are happy to introduce our new team member! We will be in neighborhoods near you, picking up leaves and debris so our localized drainage systems perform at their best. We want you to help name this beauty. Magnolia Bridge Rd between Greenwell Springs Road and Livingston Parish!!! Sorry for your inconvenience! Please be patient and temporarily take another route if needed. There will be a temporary road closure starting at 11:30am today of Magnolia Bridge, both east and west bound lanes. Central Police Department along with the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office Traffic Fatality team are shutting down the roadway for approximately 30 minutes to scan the accident scene from last week's fatal accident that occurred at this location. This is imperative for the accident investigation.
